TD Week

April 28 - May 2, 2025

Join us for the first annual Transdisciplinary (TD) Week! Hosted by the Institutes for Transdisciplinary Scholarship and in partnership with colleagues across campus, both emerging and existing transdisciplinary scholars are invited to attend.

About the week

Hosted by the Institutes for Transdisciplinary Scholarship (ITS), a connection point on campus, TD Week is a chance to connect with partners on and off campus to showcase existing td work, educate about td work, network and engage.

Dates: Monday, April 28 - Friday, May 2, 2025
Format: In-person, virtual and hybrid options

Please register for the individual sessions you wish to attend.

Light refreshments will be provided.

Transdisciplinary scholarship is directed towards a complex issue or problem, most often one with a social dimension. Because of the complexity of the issue or problem, it is best addressed by teams of researchers from multiple disciplines. To address the social dimension of the question, transdisciplinary scholarship incorporates knowledges from outside the university, through theoretical or creative approaches to societal issues, and ideally by including societal actors who are implicated in the issue or problem in question.
