Developing Cannabis Education and Harm Reduction Messages with Youth
Summary
This study aims to develop cannabis education "for youth, by youth." The study will consist of taking part in an interview and a focus group (optional); This will let us hear from youth ages 16-24 about their knowledge and experiences with cannabis. We especially want to hear from youth whose voices have not been heard. Also, youth from diverse backgrounds. We hope to understand how youth make decisions whether or not to use cannabis. Also, what they think are the best ways to reduce any harms of using cannabis are.
Eligibility
Eligible ages: 16 to 24
Accepts healthy participants: Yes
Inclusion criteria:
You can participate in this study if:
1. You are between the ages of 16-24
2. You have experienced a health and/or social struggle (for example, low income, any type of discrimination, racialization, trauma, mental illness, chronic illness, or disability).
3. You have experience with deciding to use cannabis for either medical or non-medical reasons.
Exclusion criteria:
You are not eligible to participate if:
1. You are under the age of 16 or over the age of 24.
2. You have not experienced a health and/or social struggle (for example, low income, any type of discrimination, racialization, trauma, mental illness, chronic illness, or disability).
3. You have no knowledge nor experience of deciding to use cannabis.
