Participate in a Study

Tomorrow’s treatments start with you.

At the University of Calgary we support hundreds clinical trials each year—and fundamentally, all of that research depends on our many trial participants. Clinical trials are an important part of the drug and therapy development process, ensuring new treatments are both safe and effective for use. Specifically, they help researchers understand how effective a new medication or therapy is when used to treat a certain condition.

How do clinical trials work?

As a trial participant, your experience is likely to vary substantially depending on the type of study you’re participating in. You can learn more about what it means to participate in a clinical research study here. If you’re interested in participating in a clinical trial, we’re always looking for volunteers.
